25 Jewels is an independent California dealer built around a simpler conviction: you shouldn’t have to pay a fortune to wear something genuinely beautiful—something with age, character, and a story worth keeping close.
We started the way most honest dealers do—buying watches we wanted to wear ourselves, from estate sales, family collections, and the occasional lucky find at a flea market table. The collection grew because the standard never changed: if it didn’t earn its place on our own wrists, it didn’t earn a place in the shop.
We look for watches that feel alive on the wrist: a warm dial, honest proportion, the quiet patina of decades. Each piece is chosen one at a time, for the person who will love wearing it—not for what’s fashionable this season. We’d rather sell you the right watch than the most expensive one.
That means real research before anything gets listed—reference numbers checked, movements opened and timed, replacement parts disclosed rather than buried in fine print. Vintage watches are old machines with old stories, and we think you deserve both, told straight.

What makes a watch

Proportion over spec sheet
How a case wears matters more than how it measures. We pass on watches that look correct on paper but feel wrong on the wrist.
Mechanical honesty
Every movement is opened, timed, and regulated before it's listed. If something has been replaced, we say so—no exceptions.
A story worth keeping
Engravings, service stamps, a name on a case back—when a watch carries history, we preserve and pass it along rather than polish it away.
Priced on merit, not hype
We price against condition and character, not whatever a reference is trending for this month at auction.
Inspected in hand
Nothing is listed from a stock photo or a third-party description. We hold every watch, in daylight, before it goes up for sale.

Nothing is duplicated and nothing is restocked. When a watch sells, it's gone—and it moves to the archive as part of the record.

Is every watch actually vintage, or are some new old-stock?
Every piece we sell is pre-owned or vintage unless a listing explicitly says otherwise. We don't deal in new factory goods, reissues, or homages. Age, prior service, and honest wear are part of what you're buying.
What if a watch arrives and it doesn't match the listing?
Report it within 72 hours with clear photos and we'll review it as a non-conformity claim—a material mismatch between the watch and its description. Full detail is in our warranty and condition policy.
How is shipping handled?
Every order ships fully insured from California with tracking and signature confirmation, at no extra cost. See our shipping policy for carrier and timing detail.
Can I see a watch in person before buying?
Yes—by appointment in Los Angeles. Write to us with the piece you're interested in and we'll find a time that works.
I have a watch I'd like to sell. Do you buy?
