Warranty & Condition
1. Sold as vintage goods
Every watch we sell is pre-owned, vintage, or otherwise previously handled unless a listing expressly states otherwise. These pieces are not new factory goods.
Age, prior service, polishing, replacement parts, patina, dial aging, case wear, bracelet stretch, strap wear, and other signs of use should be expected unless specifically excluded in the product description.
2. No default warranty
We do not offer a mechanical warranty, service warranty, water-resistance warranty, accuracy guarantee, or post-sale repair promise unless a specific listing expressly says otherwise in writing.
A statement that a watch was inspected, tested, regulated, serviced, or running at the time of listing is a condition disclosure, not a promise that the watch will continue performing to that standard for any period after delivery.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, watches are sold as-is and with all faults, subject only to the non-conformity process described below and any non-waivable rights that may apply.
3. Inspection standard
Before listing, we review each watch for basic identity, visible condition, disclosed accessories, apparent functionality, and the details needed to describe the piece fairly.
Inspection is not the same as factory certification, pressure testing, manufacturer authentication, complete disassembly, or a watchmaker's overhaul unless the listing specifically says that work was performed.
Photos are part of the condition report. Buyers should review all photographs, measurements, notes, and included-accessory details before checkout.
4. Mechanical watches
Mechanical watches are small machines with old components, lubricants, seals, springs, pivots, and adjustments. They can require service even when they are running well at the time of sale.
Timekeeping can vary with position, temperature, power reserve, wearing habits, magnetism, shock, and service history. Unless a listing gives a specific written guarantee, timing observations are informational only.
A vintage watch should be handled gently. Dropping, knocking, magnetizing, overwinding, setting the date during unsafe hours, or exposing the watch to moisture can cause damage that is not a non-conformity.
5. Quartz watches
Quartz watches may contain electronic modules, coils, contacts, batteries, displays, crowns, pushers, and seals that age independently of the case and dial.
If a quartz watch is listed as running, that means it was observed running during our listing process. It does not guarantee future battery life, module life, water resistance, or uninterrupted operation after delivery.
6. Water and moisture
Vintage watches should not be treated as water resistant unless the listing expressly says otherwise.
Even if a watch was water resistant when new, age and case construction can make moisture exposure unsafe.
Do not shower, swim, wash dishes, operate crowns or pushers near moisture, or expose the watch to rain, steam, humidity, or rapid temperature changes. Moisture damage after delivery is not covered.
7. Originality and parts
Vintage watches can include period-correct parts, later service parts, refinished components, relumed hands or dials, replacement crystals, replacement crowns, replacement straps, or other changes made before we acquired them.
We disclose known material details, but not every part history is always knowable without manufacturer records or destructive inspection. Unless a listing expressly says all parts are original, no such guarantee is made.
8. Accessories and papers
Boxes, papers, manuals, tags, archive extracts, service receipts, original straps, spare links, and other accessories are included only when the listing expressly identifies them.
Packaging and accessories can show age, storage wear, writing, staining, fading, missing inserts, or other condition issues consistent with vintage goods.
9. Non-conformity review
Any claimed non-conformity must be reported to us within 72 hours of receipt, with clear photographs attached and a description of how the watch differs materially from the product page.
A non-conformity is a material mismatch between the delivered watch and the listing. Normal vintage wear, subjective condition expectations, timekeeping variation, battery depletion, strap comfort, buyer remorse, or issues caused after delivery are not non-conformities.
If we approve a non-conformity return, the watch must be returned in the same condition with all included accessories, boxes, paperwork, tags, and packaging before any refund is issued.
10. After delivery
Do not open the case, resize the bracelet, change the strap, polish the case, service the movement, replace the battery, pressure test the watch, or allow a third party to work on the watch before contacting us about a claimed issue.
Third-party work, alteration, damage, missing accessories, or changed condition may prevent us from evaluating a non-conformity claim.
