PULSAR VX32-X245 — BLUE SUNBURST SPORTS QUARTZ
The Pulsar VX32-X245 is a distinctly early-2000s take on the everyday sports watch, pairing the practicality of Japanese quartz with the sculpted, integrated styling that defined the era. Its broad tonneau-shaped case flows directly into the stainless-steel bracelet, while engraved 15, 30 and 45-minute markings and a raised triangle at 12 give the fixed bezel a subtle dive-watch influence without turning the watch into a conventional diver.
The centerpiece is the deep blue sunburst dial. Its color shifts dramatically with the light, moving from near navy to electric blue across the vertically brushed surface. Applied steel markers, an oversized Arabic 12, luminous sword-style hands and the framed date window at three give the dial a surprisingly substantial presence. The restrained PULSAR signature and simple “50M WATER RESIST” text keep the layout clean.
Inside is the VX32 Japanese quartz caliber, a straightforward three-hand-and-date movement from the Seiko/Epson family. The VX32 represents exactly what Pulsar did particularly well during this period: reliable Japanese quartz movements housed in watches that were more stylistically adventurous than their utilitarian mechanics might suggest.
The stainless-steel case and integrated bracelet lean heavily into the substantial sports-watch aesthetic of the early 2000s. Alternating brushed and polished surfaces emphasize the unusual case architecture, particularly the polished shoulders surrounding the bracelet and crown guards. Today, the X245 stands out as an interesting piece of turn-of-the-century Pulsar design — inexpensive and practical when new, but considerably more distinctive than the generic quartz watches it competed against.

Dealer assessment
Overall in excellent vintage condition. The crystal is nearly flawless, and the case and bracelet present very well. The main wear is to the black bezel markings: the 15 and 45 markings have almost completely faded away, while the 30 marking shows noticeable fading. Overall in excellent vintage condition.
